The extraordinary Dubai Cares initiative launched by the emirate last year wowed the region and the world. The initiative involved the corporate sector as well as ordinary people in one of the most remarkable charity drives celebrating the generous spirit of sharing and caring of the emirate and its leaders. At the end of the campaign, Shaikh Mohammed doubled the entire fund raised in the drive by his own contribution. ­

The initiative is unique in that it seeks to promote a culture of book reading, extending the privilege to millions of others around the world who do not have access to quality education.

A learned and egalitarian society is what Dubai is aiming for. The initiative also encourages school students in Dubai to collectively read a million­ books in a record time of two weeks, with the launch of the 'Million Book Challenge'. For each book read, Dubai Cares will purchase a book and donate it to a child in need in different countries.

ideaTree is proud to be associated with Dubai Cares, as the development agency responsible to creating the entire online experience right from design conceptualization to implementation using latest technological tools.

The Website has been developed with an objective to provide information to the general public about its activities, while focusing on special campaigns undertaken by Dubai Cares. The website also offers opportunities for the visitors to volunteer and register for special drives initiated by Dubai Cares along with the facility to donate to a cause through an easy to use online application. The website also has member's area which allows them to develop a community, share information and spread the word.
